Courses

  • Examine the organizational strategy and competitive advantage of using information systems. In addition to identifying strategies for customer relationships and supply chain management, you will explore the ethical concerns of managing data and collecting information on customers.

  • Explore the business strategies that drive projects in companies. Apply PMI Waterfall methodology to the constraints of scope, time, and cost, and learn how to manage a Scrum Team using the tools and artifacts of the PMI Agile methodology.

  • Identify effective strategies to manage technology organizations and learn how to innovate in a technical environment. Gain technology leadership skills to help you optimize workflow and business systems in a tech-intensive organization.

  • Explore information security governance and compliance, along with the foundations of incident, threat, and vulnerability management. Gain important cyber defense skills – like how to detect malware, foil cyber attacks, and conduct forensic investigations – and learn how all the cybersecurity services (such as HIPPA, SOX, and GLBA) work together.

  • This class will show you how systems analysts contribute to information systems development. Throughout the course, you will gain a strong understanding of process and data modeling and explore the method for user interface design.

  • Explore the five domains of digital transformation: customers, competition, data, innovation, and value. Learn to build customer networks, turn data into assets, and master disruptive business models.

  • Learn the fundamentals of database design –– including SQL, data warehousing, and the relational model –– to create a prototype for output that meets real-life business outcomes. Practice the normalization process individually and in teams, helping you minimize redundant, inaccurate data. Other topics include design implications for speeding data access and the emergence of unstructured data systems.

  • Explore the changes required to become an Agile organization. Learn to drive collaboration in an organization and examine the iterative delivery of products.

  • Explore the fundamental ideas of AI, including its history, future prospects, and computational intelligence. Examine theories of AI from both a philosophical and psychological perspective and examine specific methods of logic-based reasoning, structural models, and syntactic pattern analysis.

  • After a review of the basic commands and functionality of Microsoft Excel, you will be challenged to manipulate specific data for informative reporting that is representative of the learning objective. Upon completion of the course, you will be prepared to take the Microsoft Excel Expert Exam for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate.

  • Through your capstone project, you will gain experience in problem identification, solution selection, cost-benefit analysis, requirements gathering, options analysis, and success measurement. You must hold senior standing and have successfully completed all other program course requirements before registering for this course. (Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C- in ITM 400, ITM 402, ITM 410, and ITM 425.)

Online student sitting at high table and using a laptop on front of a large window.
