Associate Professor of Practice
Phillip Hampton has been a member of Concordia’s business faculty since 2005. Owner and CEO of BlackCreek Realty LLC (Minneapolis), Hampton is also a faculty member at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
Prior to his career in academics, Hampton served a number of years in the finance sector, with positions at Metris Companies (manager of portfoli acquisitions), U.S. Bancorp (strategic analyst), Federal Reserve Bank (analyst) and Piper Jaffray (analyst).
Hampton is an active member of the Twin Cities community. He is a board member for Milkweed Editions as well as African Economic Development Solutions (AEDS). Hampton has also served as a mentor for the Infinity Group, has volunteered for the Minneapolis Spokesman Recorder and the for Lake Country Montessori, and has served as a board member for the Alchemy Theatre.
