Onboarding Resources:
Hiring Managers must request the following for their new employees:
- IT Computer Request Form – made no later than 1 week before your new hire start date. IT will bring the new employee’s laptop with them to HR Orientation and assist in setting it up.
- ID Card and Key Request Form – must be submitted no later than 1 week before your new hire start date. HR will pick up the new ID with the new employee on their start date.
- Business Card and Name Tag Request Form – must be ordered 2-3 weeks in advance for them to be delivered by the time your new employee begins.
Summary
Concordia utilizes a distributed hiring model. This model allows for a specially-appointed search committee to recruit and hire the best possible faculty and staff.
As the decision to hire individuals onto Concordia’s employee roster has far-reaching consequences, a system of checks and balances has been devised to guide representatives of the University in making the right decision.
