Get credit for the work you’ve already done

You’ve done the work – now it’s time to transfer your credits to Concordia and get a head start on your degree!

See all the ways you can transfer in your credits below:

90 Credits

Concordia’s generous transfer policy allows you to transfer up to 90 credits.

Credits by Examination

  • Taken each May by students all over the world, the AP Exam is the final step you take after a year of hard work in an AP class. These standardized exams are designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of the course.

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) is a worldwide, nonprofit education program founded to give all students the opportunity to receive an education fit for a globalizing world.

  • CLEP offers 33 exams in five subject areas, covering material taught in courses that you may generally take in your first two years of college. Most CLEP exams are designed to correspond to one-semester courses, although some correspond to full-year or two-year courses.

  • As a Straighterline Partner, we accept several courses taken online through Straighterline.

  • Credit earned through Sophia Learning is non-traditional credit, which is capped at 30
nontraditional credits. Credit awarded in transfer is based on passing score and credit recommendation guidelines by the American Council on Education (ACE).

  • View Concordia’s policy on the Seal of Biliteracy and the Minnesota World Language Proficiency Certificate and passing scores and the course requirements they satisfy.

Visit the Seal of Biliteracy website for more information.

ADDITIONAL COLLEGE CREDITS

  • Did you take any college credits in high school? We accept credits from all regionally accredited institutions with a passing grade.

  • Transferring from another institution? Visit our Transfer Admissions page to see how your credits will transfer to CSP!

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degrees and/or the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) will meet CSP’s general education requirements (with the exception of the Theology requirement).

  • A Transfer Guide is a tool showing which college courses at a partner institution would transfer directly into a specific program at CSP.

  • Interested in transferring with fewer obstacles while saving time and money and most importantly – your credits? Ask an academic advisor at your current institution about Interstate Passport, which offers:

    • An early milestone of completion on the way to a credential
    • Assurance that lower-division general education learning will be recognized upon transfer to another Network-member institution
    • The potential for faster time to degree, lower cost, less debt, and maximization of previously earned credits

Students who transfer into CSP with a Passport from another member institution will not have to repeat or take additional courses to satisfy lower-division general education requirements.
