First-Year Admission Requirements

Create an account and submit our online application. Once submitted, you can follow your application process through CSP’s application portal or the Common Application.

High School transcripts can be submitted in any of the following formats:
- Uploaded directly to your application portal
- Emailed to CSP at admissions@csp.edu
- Request your official transcript online
- Contact your high school to retrieve your transcript
Official high school transcript will be required for admitted students prior to starting classes. To be considered official, transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope or through a secured electronic delivery sent directly from the institution

Concordia has a test-optional admissions policy, and thus, applicants are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores as part of the admissions process.
Applicants are still welcome to send official scores (writing test not required) to CSP, but they will not be required for admission.

Transcripts are required from all institutions attended after graduating high school. You can submit your transcript in any of the following formats:
- Upload them directly to your application portal
- Email to CSP at admissions@csp.edu (PDF format preferred)
- Request your official transcripts online
- Authorize CSP to request your transcripts on your behalf (no cost to you). This option is limited to specific institutions.

Attended a Minnesota State school?
If you have attended a Minnesota State college or university feel free to send your DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet (not required). Concordia accepts completed goal areas toward our general education requirements, in addition to course-by-course review. Please contact your admissions counselor with any questions.
Transfer students with fewer than 20 college credits completed (after graduating high school) will also need to submit an official high school transcript.

You’ve done the work in high school or college – now you can bring your AP, IB, and college credit to Concordia to get a head start on your degree.

Admissions decisions will be made within 2-3 business days. Our Admissions Committee will review files that do not meet initial admissions criteria and these decisions will be made within one business week. Students who do not meet initial admissions criteria will be asked to complete the academic success essay and may be asked for additional documentation upon review.

Meet the TeamCertification & Licensure

Concordia’s online B.A. in Family Science degree program is approved by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). Students can choose between a certified or non-certified track, but must do so before the third course in the Family Science degree program. Upon successful completion of the program, CFLE Track students will be provisionally certified as Family Life Educators. Non-CFLE students are eligible to sit for the national exam to gain provisional certification. Provisional certification is available to applicants who have completed the program, but who have not yet earned enough work experience hours in Family Life Education to qualify for full-certification status (3200 hours)

Each state has different requirements for professional licensure and certifications. CSP’s educator preparation programs are designed specifically to prepare students for licensure in Minnesota, but are not approved by any other state licensing boards for licensure in those states. CSP is unable to determine whether its teacher preparation programs would meet the educational requirements for licensure in other states. Students who want to work in a state other than Minnesota should contact the state licensing board in their state before enrolling in the program.
